Yes, they’re back… again! And I couldn’t be more excited.
Let’s talk about last year for a moment.
We had over 35,000 votes cast on more than 200 entries.
Can you believe it? Absolutely unreal.
The love, the support, the standard of work — it just keeps growing and getting better every single year. I was completely blown away, and honestly, a bit emotional watching it all unfold.
So here we go again… the Buttercream Bloom Awards 2025 are officially ON.

- Voting wraps up on 31st August

If this is your first year entering — I’m sending you all the luck and encouragement. Last year we had everyone from total beginners to pro bakers. It’s not about follower count, it’s about what you create and how proud you are of it.
Let me tell you a little secret…
One of 2023’s AND 2024 winners had only been in business for a few months. It’s not about how big your audience is, it’s about how much you believe in your work and how you connect with your community.
Someone else popped “award-winning baker” on all of her socials within minutes of the results being announced. And honestly? Love that. It sets you apart. It gives people something to notice. These awards are about more than just prizes — they’re about momentum, recognition, and a chance to shine.
So yes, the format stays the same this year — because it just works.
Here’s what to expect:
Seasonal Categories
- SPRING – Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze
- SUMMER – Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze
- AUTUMN – Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze
- WINTER – Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze
And four runners-up in each season.
You can vote once per category. That’s it. No judging panel. No bias. Just the public deciding what they love. I don’t vote, Rockpool doesn’t vote — honestly, I’m relieved because I could never choose between you all.
The Honourable Mention
Ohhh this one has my heart. This is the one place where I do choose. It’s for the person who shares their story and really makes us feel something. Maybe baking helped you through something tough. Maybe this is your first real creative outlet. Maybe you’ve just done something you never thought you could do — and you’re proud. That’s what I want to hear about.
You don’t have to be a business. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be you. That’s enough.
Just a couple of little rules to keep things fair
- The work must be your own
- The image must feature buttercream flowers (you choose how — on a cake, as a bouquet, flat lay, however your creativity flows)
- Kindness matters — always. This is a zero-tolerance space for nastiness or negativity. We’re here to lift each other up.
Whether you’re entering for the first time or you’ve been here before, just know this is a space for everyone. All skill levels, all stories, all backgrounds.
